Typical situations
Three situations we see again and again
These are typical cases of expats in Germany and how we approach them. They are examples from our work, not individual client testimonials.

“You can’t get a mortgage with a Blue Card”
The situation
A qualified professional with a stable job wants to buy a home. Several banks say a Blue Card makes financing impossible.
What we look at
How the case is presented to the bank: income, career stability, residency development, equity and long-term plans in Germany. We prepare the documents and choose lenders that know the background.
What usually helps
Clear financing structures and the right lender. More than 100 Blue Card families have bought homes in Germany with our support.
Typical situation 2
A contract signed under pressure
The situation
Shortly after moving, an international newcomer ends up with an insurance contract that the landlord arranged in connection with the apartment, signed with limited language skills and little time.
What we look at
Who initiated the contract, what it covers, whether it was needed, and what the options are to keep, change or end it.
What usually helps
Understanding the contract before you commit, and choosing cover on your own terms. Private liability insurance is useful, but it should be your decision.
Typical situation 3
Twelve years in Germany, and the contracts never changed
The situation
A senior manager at a large software and consulting firm, in Germany for 12 years. A house broker sold him insurance products early on, and nobody ever updated them. He bought a single-person liability policy, but now he has children, and cover for children under 7 is missing completely. His household contents policy is an old, overpriced tariff with a 150 euro deductible. Legal insurance, household and liability sit with the same provider. That is a conflict of interest: if a dispute arises, the legal insurer is unlikely to take a hard line against its own liability insurer.
What we look at
Every contract against today’s life: family status, cover gaps, price against current tariffs, deductibles, and whether bundling everything with one provider really makes sense. Legal insurance in particular should not sit with the same provider or group as liability and household.
What usually helps
Closing the gap for the children first, then moving old tariffs to current ones with better conditions, and deciding for each cover separately which provider fits best.
