After a few random attempts and initial 1:1 consultations with international clients, the first “structured” approach of Financial Consulting Sessions for Expats started in May 2018. In response to an initial Facebook post, around 60 people signed up to take part in a live seminar in Düsseldorf.
Everything was redesigned in terms of content, as the information needs for expats differed greatly from the topics for locals.
The rest is history – in the following 3 years, we organised 45 face-to-face seminars in different cities and over 220 free online seminars, as well as numerous sports and cultural sponsorships.
Few weeks ago we finally could host our first face to face seminar after the pandemic – and we are looking to meet you in person in your City, too.
In total, well over 5400 participants have taken part in the German Sherpa Expats journey in our seminars so far – when will you be joining us?

When Marcel was asked this question in May 2018 by one of his guests in one of his 23 AirBnB flats, the answer was clear to him:

At that moment, the idea of a structured financial advisory service for expats in Germany was born.
What started as an unstructured one man show has developed continuously and sustainably over time to the German Sherpa Financial Consulting for Expats team.
Who we are
We are a team of dedicated financial advisors and specialists with different cultural backgrounds.
Some of us are expats ourselves, others have a German background but have lived abroad.
As different as our backgrounds and experiences are, we have one thing in common that unites us: Our passion to help expats in Germany achieve their financial goals and make their lives in Germany easier.
